Mrs Marie Guilène Raymond, the Director General of the Ministry of Public Health and Population (MSPP), has installed this Monday, July 23, Dr. Watson Exantus as new Medical Director, at the head of the hospital Notre-Dame of Petit-Goâve.

"This installation is part of the hospital strengthening. We want that this hospital accomplish properly its mission in the right way. This health center will not be left aside, it will be supported by the Ministry until it reaches not only to properly accomplish its mission, but also to serve the entire population of Petit-Goâve. The principles of equity and accessibility to health, will be respected. There was a time when the hospital was working at full capacity and was considered as a referral hospital, which was the pride of Goâviens. We cherish the dream to see Petit-Goâve return to those days and that the hospital is able to properly serve the population," has declared Marie Guilène Raymond.

For his part, the new Director, Dr. Watson Exantus, promised to make every effort to provide better service to the population and get to work quickly, and is committed to ensuring the effective and efficient operation of the hospital. Starting this week, it will forward a report to the Minister on issues and needs of the hospital.
