New Central Director at the DCPJ

Inspector General Jean-Yonel Trécile officially installed Inspector General Mario Aubergiste as the new Central Director of the Judicial Police (DCPJ). Inspector General Aubergiste succeeds Inspector General Marc Justin, who led the DCPJ for the past twelve months.

Brazilian Visa Notice : Appointment of September 11

"We are informing those who have scheduled visa appointments for September 11 of this year that their appointments have been rescheduled to Monday, September 14. Please note that this date change only applies to visa applicants. Those with appointments for legalization should still attend their appointments as originally scheduled on September 11. Thank you for your understanding." Embassy of Mexico in Haiti.

The BSAP is not recruiting

The General Directorate of the National Agency for Protected Areas (ANAP) informs the Heads of the Protected Areas Surveillance Brigade (BSAP) and the General Coordination that the training sessions currently being organized for BSAP agents are exclusively for the purpose of strengthening and upgrading the skills of existing agents. It is expressly stated that these training sessions do not constitute a recruitment process in any way, nor should they be interpreted as an activity to recruit new agents for the BSAP.

Cap-Haitien : Markets on the agenda

During an official visit to Port-au-Prince, Michel Saint-Croix, the mayor of Cap-Haitien, met with Prime Minister Alix Didier Fils-Aimé and several other central government officials. These discussions have allowed progress to be made in finalizing the plans for the market located on the coast, as well as the plans for the land that will house the markets on Rue 9 and Rue 3.

Road Safety in Schools

The organization STOP Accidents notes with great interest the statements made by Vijonet Déméro, the Minister of National Education, regarding the introduction of road safety education modules in Haitian schools. STOP Accidents welcomes this commitment, which will help raise awareness among students from a young age and promote responsible behavior on public roads in a lasting way.

Invitation to a Scientific Conference

As part of its regular program of scientific activities, the Laboratory of Mathematics and Applications of the State University of Haiti (LAMA-UEH) invites professors, researchers, advanced students, and anyone interested in recent developments in differential geometry to a scientific conference to be held on Monday, September 14, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at the École Normale Supérieure of the State University of Haiti (ENS-UEH), located at #10 Canapé-Vert Street (Port-au-Prince). This conference will be given by Professor Ruben Louis, PhD in Mathematics, specializing in differential geometry, professor, researcher, and member of LAMA-UEH. The topic will be : "Nash Bursts and Singular Foliations".
