Haiti - FLASH : At least 19 bandits mortally injured in the dismantling of the «Ti-Rach» gang in Tiburon

On the night of Saturday 9 to Sunday 10 December 2023, units of the Haitian National Police carried out a muscular operation in the territory of "Nan Wòch" (3rd communal section of Tiburon) in the city of Les Cayes (South) a muscular operation in the territory of the "Ti-Rach" gang led by a man called "Ti Ofis".

During intense exchanges of fire between the Haitian National Police (PNH) and heavily armed individuals. The Police fatally injured at least 17 members of the gang, including five women (partial assessment) according to Me Wadson Azor, the new Government Commissioner of the city of Côteaux in office since December 1, 2023. The leader of the injured gang and his second, were lynched by the population as they tried to flee…

The police seized three assault rifles (AK47, Uzi, etc.), an M4, a 12 caliber weapon and other homemade weapons.

Three women (Ronise Jean, Evensia Jean and Denise Sainvil), suspected of being complicit with the Tiburon gang, were also arrested.

This gang specialized in kidnapping, rape, armed robbery, looting and burning of houses...

After this violent and bloody dismantling of the "T-Rach" gang which sowed terror in the area, hundreds of jubilant residents took to the streets to demonstrate their joy at this victory.
