Haiti - Health : «Lèt Agogo» back in schools

For the 2023-2024 academic year, the National School Canteen Program of the Ministry of National Education with the assistance of the French Embassy will allow approximately 26,000 students in 94 schools to drink "Lèt Agogo" milk in their educational establishments.

"Lèt Agogo" is a product based on sweetened local cow's milk prepared in good hygienic conditions with star annette, cinnamon, essence and a little lemongrass created by Vétérimed, a Haitian institution specializing in health and animal breeding which ensures the quality of the milk and the work carried out on all dairy farms.

"Lèt Agogo" is also a program that supports the production and processing of farmer’s milk. It is also there to support the farmer in technical improvement to produce more and strengthen producer organizations.

Today there is a network of 25 companies located in all departments of the country preparing the "Lèt Agogo" after receiving training from Vétérimed.

"Lèt Agogo" comes in a small glass bottle that prevents the milk from spoiling, without any chemicals, even when it is not in ice. It will keep for approximately 9 months without refrigeration, as long as the bottle is unopened.
