Total confirmed cases: 3,452* cases +0 in 24 hours, previous +26 in 24 hours

Total hospitalized cases (suspected and confirmed): 49,275 cases +119 hospitalizations in 24 hours, the day before +338 in 24 hours

Total deaths: 780 deaths ((536 institutional (+4) and 243** community (+0)) +4, previous +5

Partial assessment of cholera in Haiti according to data from the Department of Epidemiology, Laboratories and Research of the Ministry of Public Health and Population (MSPP).

*Not updated by the National Laboratory in the last 24 hours. On the average rate of confirmed cases tested and the number of suspected cholera cases since the start of the epidemic, the number of confirmed cases should be above 19,000.

Suspected cases:

Anyone with acute watery, profuse diarrhea with or without vomiting and dehydration

Confirmed case:

Any suspected case with a positive culture for “Vibrio cholerae” or presenting an epidemiological link with a confirmed case of cholera

Hospitalized case:

Any suspected or confirmed case that spends at least 24 hours in a care centre

Institutional death:

Any suspected or confirmed case who dies in a treatment center.

Community death:

Any suspected case that dies outside of a caring institution.
