Haiti - Politic : Signature of a tripartite agreement for the National Maritime Training Institute project

The past week was signed a tripartite agreement between Éric Prévost Junior, Director of the Maritime and Navigation Service of Haiti (SEMANAH), Renold Telfort of the Caribbean Development Bank (BCD) and the engineer-architect Élisabeth Coicou, President and CEO General of the Trame SA Group for the realization of the architectural studies of the building to house the training institute of the trades of the sea in the commune of Cabaret.

Élisabeth Coicou thanked the officials of SEMANAH and the BCD for having selected her firm from among 12 competitors who responded to the call for tenders for the realization of her studies, affirming that her group will get to work without delay to hand over as soon as possible the plans for this project.

For the moment, the topographic studies have already been carried out and the National Building and Public Works Laboratory is currently carrying out technical studies of the 38,700 m2 land on which this center on which will be built in Cabaret (North of Port-au-Prince) this training center for trades of the sea.

This Institute will welcome young people in nearly 15 disciplines including, among others : Naval engineering, Maritime transport, Mechanical engineering, explained Éric Prévost Junior, stressing that this institute will create thousands of qualified jobs in the years to come.
