Haiti - FLASH : Declaration of Public Utility of Land in Port-au-Prince

By order of the Council of Ministers on Friday June 30, 2017, several areas in downtown Port-au-Prince were declared of public utility. Information announced on 6 July by the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers.

Delineation of public utilities areas :

1.- In the North, by the Faculty of Law and Economic Sciences of the State University of Haiti;

2.- In the South, by the Faculty of Medicine, Pharmacy and Medical Technology of the State University of Haiti;

3. In the East, by the Street Oswald Durand;

4.- To the West by the Hospital of the State University of Haiti.

On the other hand :

1.- In the North, by the street Bonne foi;

2. In the South, by the street Eden;

3.- To the East, by avenue Marie Jeanne;

4.- In the West, by Boulevard Harry Truman.

The land retained within the framework of this decree will be used for the expansion of the Hospital of the State University of Haiti and the construction of a building for the benefit of the fire brigade of the capital.

Note that as of the publication of this decree, all works, other than those undertaken in connection with the development or extension of the Hospital of the State University of Haiti (construction, drilling road, subdivision or other land use), as well as all real estate transactions or dispositions are and remain prohibited throughout the area defined above.
