The Embassy of Brazil in Haiti announces that Ricardo Barros, Minister of Health of Brazil and Osmar Terra the Minister of Social Development, will be on an official visit to Port-au-Prince on Thursday 22 and Friday 23 June.

The two ministers will participate, along with Marie-Gréta Roy Clément, the Minister of Public Health and Population (MSPP), at the baptismal ceremony of the Bon Repos Community Hospitals, built by the Brazilian Cooperation, in honor of Zilda Arns, Brazilian pediatrician, founder of the Pastoral Care of the Child, who died in Haiti during the 2010 earthquake.

Minister Ricardo Barros and Minister Clement will sign the document for a cooperation project that will allow the use of US $20 million from the Government of Brazil's contribution to the Haiti Reconstruction Fund.

This project concerns the strengthening of the management of health services and the health system in Haiti, including until 2020, the support of the operations of three community hospitals of reference (HCR) built by the Brazilian Cooperation in Carrefour, Beudet and Bon Repos .

Also during his stay, the Minister Barros will formalize a donation to the MSPP of 15,000 doses of human rabies vaccine (against rabies) and will also attend the opening of the XXX Meeting of the Tripartite Steering Brazil-Cuba-Haiti Committee.
