A Commission of Inquiry oninto President Moïse ?

Deputies Bell-Ange Pierre (FUSION) andAbel Descolines (KID), confirm that they signed with a dozen of their colleagues a letter addressed to Cholzer Chancy, the President of the Lower House, on Friday to ask for a Commission of Inquiry into the Money Laundering Case in which President Jovenel Moïse is accused of involvement.

Patrice Neveu, complaint to FIFA

The file of the former national coach Patrice Neveu is not closed. Indeed, the French complained to FIFA to demand payment of 4 months of salary arrears that the Federation of Haitian Football (FHF) would owns him. Jean-Bart, the President of the Federation, said he was worried about FIFA's decision and said he would wait for the verdict before thinking of signing a contract with a new coach for the Grenadiers.

New Dominican Ambassador to Haiti

Arriving at the end of his mission, the Dominican Ambassador to Haiti, Ruben Silié, was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary of the Dominican Republic in Chile by decree 101-17 of the Dominican President, Danilo Medina. He will be replaced by Luis Alberto Despradel aka "Chico".

Inflation forecasts

For the months of March, April and May, the Ministry of Foreign Inflation's inflation forecasts suggest a slight rise in inflation to 14% in March (year-on-year), followed by a slowdown that could bring inflation to 13.7% in April and 13.3% in May 2017. On a monthly basis, inflation would slow to +0.9% in March, +0.6% in April and +0.3% in May. These forecasts are based primarily on recent developments in inflation.

National Day of the Haitian Diaspora

Monday, Colombe Emilie Jessy Menos, Minister of Tourism, had a working session with her colleague Stéphanie Auguste, Minister of Haitians Alive Abroad, to plan activities (from 19 to 21 next April) to commemorate the National Day of the Diaspora. Note that the MHAVE will organize activities at the Marriott Hotel in Port-au-Prince around the theme: "Advocacy for a better integration of the Haitian Diaspora".
