Haiti - Literature : Louis-Philippe Dalembert winner of Thyde Monnier 2013

The Society of Men of Letters awarded writer, novelist, and Haitian poet, Louis-Philippe Dalembert the Prix Thyde Monnier 2013 for his novel "Ballade d’un amour inachevé" (Ballad of an unfinished love) published by Mercure (France).

According to Emmanuel Kherad of the Francophone Library "Ballade d’un amour inachevé" is one of the strongest books of this literary season "What there is more poetry in this novel is the main character Azaka. A beautiful novel and a character with deep humanity, steeped in the mud, he could have be named Adam. But he is of all the men left a day into the unknown to find themselves. Read it, listen his secrets, laugh with him, but weep in silence please, because Azaka, will have had this elegance."

share the podium with 6 other winners : Anne Delaflotte Mehdevi for "Sanderling", David Bosc for "La claire fontaine Louis", Frédéric Verger for "Arden", Hugo Boris for "Trois grands fauves", Saleh Diab for "J'ai visité ma vie" and Xavier Boissel for "Autopsie des ombres".

Louis-Philippe Dalembert will sign his book at the International Book Fair of Haiti, to be held from 12 to 15 December at the Municipal Palace of Delmas.
