Significant losses have been recorded in the agricultural sector, with numerous plantations destroyed by overflowing rivers. In Corail, local authorities are currently working to clean up the hospital, which was flooded. The Grand’Anse, Sud, Nippes, Sud-Est, and Ouest departments have been placed under an orange alert, while the Artibonite and Nord-Ouest departments are now under a yellow alert. There is a risk of flooding and landslides in vulnerable areas. In its situation report, the DGPC indicates that it has mobilized its central and departmental teams and is gradually opening temporary shelters. It also suggests considering the closure of schools and the cancellation of large gatherings. A follow-up report is expected within 24 hours. HL/ HaitiLibre
