Monday, after an initial complaint against former President Jean Bertrand Artiside by former residents of "La Fanmi Se Lavi" https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-7333-haiti-justice-complaints-against-jean-bertrand-aristide.html , and second, filed by members of the National Coordination of Members Victims of Cooperatives (CONASOVIC), https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-7446-haiti-justice-second-complaint-against-former-president-aristide.html , Me Lucmane Délile, the Commissioner of the Government, announced that former President Aristide, had been convened to the Prosecutor of Port-au-Prince, January 3, 2013, to be interrogated about these two complaints.

Me Lucmane Délile indicated "In criminal matters the responsibility is personal. He must appear in person [...] He is accused of economic crimes, embezzlement and misappropriation of funds [...]"

Following the announcement of the Chief of the Public Prosecutions, Fanmi Lavalas has made no comment.
