Haiti - Politic : CEP, 3rd meeting... the suspense continues...

Sunday afternoon was held the 3rd meeting of the Commission bicameral of Legislative Power (created to follow up of discussions on the implementation of the Electoral Council) with the representatives of Executive Power and the mediators of "Religion for Peace", around the proposal of a mysterious MoU, proposed for reflection last Friday... This meeting was held behind closed doors and lasted nearly 2:30.

Were present among others for the Legislative Branch the Senators : Lucas Saint-Vil and Jean William Jeanty, the Executive Branch was represented by President Michel Martelly, Joseph Lambert and Gregory Mayard Paul and members of Superior Council of the Judiciary (CSPJ). In addition to the usual mediators of "Religion for Peace" Mgr. Pierre-André Dumas, Pastor Sylvain Exantus was also present Mambo Euvonie Augustus Representative of Voodoo within "Religion for Peace".

The instructions of silence continues to apply and participants refused to comment on what was said during the meeting. At a press conference Euvonie Auguste declared "[...] We thank the three branches, which are made ​​available to enter into the process to find a solution [...] We want to announce to the entire population, that once again, we are on a right track, in order tha twe find a resolution, a solution to the problems faced by the country. We talked, we try to find a consensus and 'Religion for Peace' continues to mediate, to accompany the threepowers in the outcome of the crisis they are looking [...]"

It remains only to hope that all these meetings lead finally to a true solution of compromises, and not another break and an amplification of the crisis, in order to think seriously about the organization of the next elections...
