Haiti - Economy : Important meeting this Tuesday, with the World Bank
The President of the World Bank (WB), Dr. Jim Yong Kim on official visit to Haiti, was greeted Tuesday morning at the Toussaint Louverture International Airport by a delegation led by Ms Marie Carmelle Jean-Marie, Minister of Economy and Finance, before going to the Primature meet the Prime Minister, Laurent Lamothe for a working session, with several representatives of ministries, that cooperate with the multilateral institution.
Following this meeting of great importance for the cooperation between Haiti and the World Bank, the Minister of Economy and the President of the World Bank, will proceed with the signing of an agreement relating to two projects funded to the tune of $125 million by the WB.
Dr. Kim will also meet at the National Palace with the President Martelly and later, will meet with representatives of the Parliament and the private sector.
