Haiti - Culture : Installation of new Director of the National Theatre
Jean Mario Dupuy, the Minister of Culture, has proceeded yesterday Friday, to the installation of Mr. Yves Penel, as new Director General of the National Theatre. Mr.Penel replaces to this position the outgoing Director, Frantz Jacob.
The Minister stressed the heavy task that awaits the new Director General and invited him to fully assume its responsibilities, starting with restoring order in this decentralized agency of the Ministry of Culture.
"The National Theatre is my foster mother, it participated in my training. The theater has greatly contributed to make of me what I am today. I have to return it a portion of what it gave me," declared the new Director. Aware of the challenge, he said to rely on his experience and his knowledge of this institution, where he worked for fourteen years.
