Haiti - Politic : First Council decentralized, of Government

Jean Rodolphe Joazile, the Minister of Defence, will participate this Thursday, in Cap-Haitien, to the first, truly decentralized Government Council of the history of Haiti.

This Council decentralized, reflects the clear desire of the government team today, to stand out of weight "of the Republic of Port-au-Prince." Certainly, the issue of national defense, because of its horizontal nature, will be at the heart of the Government Council that will host the Prime Minister, Laurent Lamothe.

Aware of climate risks that incur our country in this season and the vulnerability of populations, the Minister Joazile stated that "The first stone of the edifice of the national defense must fit within the direction of responses to bring to the great trials that beset us too often [...] All this while and progressively that will be built the new defense force whose mission miliary in peacetime, so ideally at all times, will join fully the accompaniment of civil defense agencies to be determined."

At any time and anywhere the civil defense or military of a Nation is and remains a legitimate right "despite the difficult political and financial considerations of the moment, we must also admit that the defense function, in a country like Haiti, has never been so necessary, imperative, even vital," as stated Carel Alexandre, the new Director General of the Ministry of Defence, during his installation ceremony, on July 3.
