The second phase of preparations for the U17 men's national team, ahead of their participation in the 2026 Qatar World Cup, intensified in Ouanaminthe, where the team coached by Kowsky Sainvil played three friendly matches against teams composed of higher-level players. While the first match ended in a 1-0 defeat against Ouanaminthe FC, the young Grenadiers then drew 1-1 against Real Hope, bolstered by the return of several players who had been in Jamaica, before securing a convincing 4-2 victory against Trou du Nord.

For this phase of preparation in the Northeast, Kowsky Sainvil revealed that seven players based abroad (United States, Canada) participated, and that decisions will be made regarding their participation in the final phase of preparation, which will take place in Brazil.

In the land of King Pelé, the young Grenadiers will play high-level friendly matches, allowing the coach to finalize his list of 21 players who will represent Haiti in Qatar from November 19 to December 13, 2026.

Following the draw on Thursday, May 21, 2026, Haiti, in Group D, will face France, Saudi Arabia, and Uruguay. https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-47578-haiti-u-17-world-cup-qatar-2026-our-grenadiers-know-their-opponents.html
