Earthquakes in Venezuela

Digicel : Fiber optic network significant damage

Digicel reports in a statement that, on the night of June 24, it suffered significant damage to its fiber optic infrastructure on National Road 2, affecting several services in the southern part of the country. “"Our technicians were immediately mobilized to address the situation, but access to the area remains difficult due to the security context. Exams : Security Meeting

On Thursday, June 25, 2026, in preparation for the national exams, Vijonet Déméro, the Minister of National Education, met with law enforcement and judicial officials with jurisdiction in the Port-au-Prince metropolitan area and, more broadly, in the West Department. The meeting focused primarily on security for the national exams. Chile : Migration Issues on the Agenda

On the sidelines of the 56th Ordinary Session of the General Assembly of the Organization of American States (OAS), Raina Forbin, Haiti's Minister of Foreign Affairs, met on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, with Chile's Minister of Foreign Affairs, José Francisco Pérez Mackenna. Discussions focused on migration issues, strengthening consular services, modernizing documentation systems, and measures undertaken by Chile to improve the management of migration flows and the tracking of migrants.
