Cité Soleil : The gang war continues Armed clashes between rival gangs continued during the night of Thursday June 18 to Friday June 19, 2026, in the town of Cité Soleil. Training : conciliation and arbitration With the technical support of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP - Haiti), through the Justice Support and Fight against Impunity Project (PAJLI), funded by the Government of Canada and the Kingdom of Norway, the Port-au-Prince Bar continues its annual continuing education program for its members. From June 17 to 19, 2026, a fourth session was devoted to alternative methods of dispute resolution, in particular conciliation and arbitration. For three days, 48 lawyers, including 14 women, strengthened their skills in these mechanisms which, in certain situations, allow disputes to be resolved in a quicker, more accessible and less confrontational manner than traditional legal procedures. Support for Women Entrepreneurs Through the Support Program for Women Entrepreneurs (PAEF), several women across the country have already started the process to seize the opportunity to promote their projects and take important steps in the development of their businesses.
