Haiti - REMINDER : «J-2» UNESCO Participation Programme 2026-2027, call for proposals

UNESCO’s Participation Programme complements regular activities by supporting projects led by Member States and NGOs in official partnership with the Organization, within its areas of competence: education, science, culture, communication, and information.

IMPORTANT : Applications must be submitted by the Member State exclusively through the National Commission for UNESCO.

Funding limits : The amount of assistance provided for each application for 2026–2027 is :

• A maximum of USD 26,000 for a national project;

• USD 28,000 for a sub-regional or inter-regional project;

• USD 38,000 for a regional project;

• Up to USD 50,000 for emergency assistance;

Each Member State may submit up to 7 applications, ranked by priority. At least one of the top three projects must contribute to gender equality.

NGOs in official partnership with UNESCO may submit up to two applications for sub-regional, regional, or inter-regional impact, with mandatory letters of support from the States concerned.

Types of Eligible Support :

• Expertise and consultants

• Scholarships

• Publications and translations

• Equipment

• Conferences, seminars, and training

Regional Projects :

Each region may submit two regional projects, supported by at least three Member States from the same region.

Emergency Assistance :

A specific mechanism allows for rapid support to Member States facing major disasters in areas within UNESCO's mandate.

Deadline :

Applications must be submitted online via the National Commission for UNESCO no later than February 27, 2026.
