A Police Substation Targeted

On Thursday, July 3rd, 2025, the "Pat Chwal" police substation in Pont-Sondé, in the lower Artibonite region, was the target of an armed attack by bandits from Savien's "Gran Grif" gang. Heavily armed individuals opened fire on the police substation premises, creating widespread panic in the area.

EU : €8 million for Education

Thursday, July 3rd, 2025, signing between Haiti and the European Union of the second phase of the program focused on education, amounting to €8 million. This signing ceremony took place in the presence of Alfred Fils Metellus, Minister of Economy and Finance, European Union Ambassador Stefano Gatto, National Authorizing Officer of the European Development Fund Charles Jean Jacques, Minister of National Education Augustin Antoine, who each delivered their remarks, and senior officials from the public administration. Education is a factor that promotes greater harmony in society, which is why this agreement will help rehabilitate school infrastructure, strengthen vocational training, and modernize curricula at all levels.

Delmas Town Hall Strengthens Relations with Canada

On Thursday, July 3rd, 2025, at the Delmas Municipal Palace, Wilson Jeudy, Mayor of Delmas, welcomed a large delegation from the Canadian Embassy in Haiti, led by Ambassador André François Giroux. This official visit, centered on dialogue and cooperation, is part of a dynamic effort to strengthen institutional relations between the Canadian diplomatic representation and the Delmas Municipal Administration.

IOM : Donation of 220 Communication Equipment

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) has donated 220 communication equipment units to the Directorate of Civil Protection (DPC) to strengthen response capacities in the event of major natural hazards.
