Haiti - Security : PNH destroys all roadblocks and reopens RN#8 (Video)

Friday, September 6, 2024, on the instructions of Rameau Normil, Commander of the National Police of Haiti (PNH), the Croix-des-Bouquets Police, accompanied by agents of the Departmental Unit for Maintaining Order (UDMO) / West 2) and the heavy machinery section of the PNH, intervened to reopen National Road #8, blocked due to a wall erected by the "400 mawozo" gang and a barrier of welded containers to prevent law enforcement from advancing to dismantle the armed gangs. For this high-tension operation, the PNH had deployed armored vehicles and heavy armored vehicles.

It should be noted that at the time when law enforcement was unblocking RN#8, the PNH exchanged numerous shots with the bandits who were also throwing Molotov cocktails.

Thanks to the professionalism of the police, the intervention was a success and the road was unblocked to facilitate the continuation of operations against armed gangs, and to allow the free movement of the population.
