Grenadières FIFA ranking

In the latest FIFA Women's World Ranking, published on August 16, 2024, the position of our Grenadières remains unchanged at 53rd place with 1,481.87 points (having not played a single match since their elimination in the Nations League (October 2023). On the podium, the United States takes back the lead in the ranking with 2,076.9 points followed by England (2,023.42) and Spain in 3rd position (2021.09).

HUEH closed for 5 months

Nearly 5 months since the doors of the State University Hospital of Haiti (HUEH), the largest hospital center in the country, closed. Félix Levi Milo, President of the Federation of Health Workers, says he is outraged to see that the hospital remains closed because of insecurity and repair work that has still not started and asks the authorities to do what is necessary to reopen the hospital.

Escape : Latest report from the St-Marc City Hall

According to the latest report published by the acting Mayor of Saint Marc Myriam Fièvre, during the escape attempt on Friday, August 16 https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-43002-haiti-flash-bloody-escape-at-saint-marc-prison.html , 14 inmates were killed in exchanges of fire with the police, 8 wounded by bullets including two police officers were reported. 4 inmates are still on the run. Follow-up meeting with the Inter-American Defense College

On Monday, August 19, 2024, advisors Pierre Michel Bonnet, Jean Bernard Henry, and Sherlo Antoine of the Permanent Mission of Haiti to the Organization of American States (OAS) had a follow-up meeting with Colonel Ricardo Lebron (retired from the United States Armed Forces), head of external relations for the Inter-American Defense College. This meeting is part of the strengthening of cooperation between Haitian security institutions and the Inter-American Defense College, and the preparation of the visit of a Haitian delegation to Washington in the coming days.

Denial by the City of Mirebalais

Lochard Laguerre, the interim Mayor of Mirebalais denies the information suggesting that the city has established toll booths at the entrance to the city. Message from the Embassy of Mexico in Haiti

Due to the demonstrations against gang violence, Monday, August 19, in Port-au-Prince and its surroundings, the Embassy of Mexico in Haiti, as a precautionary measure, remained closed.
