A judge and a lawyer kidnapped and executed

Marthel Jean-Claude, the President of the Professional Association of Magistrates (APM) expressed his indignation following the kidnapping on Monday May 13 of judge Verto Vertilus, in Estère, in Artibonite. He was kidnapped on the road to Mapou, in the company of his childhood friend and lawyer John Wesley Alerte, as they were returning home on a motorcycle. Both men were subsequently executed. Remember that Judge Verto Vertilus handled several cases linked to banditry and was the subject of numerous threats... The National Network of Haitian Magistrates (ReNaMaH) denounces the passivity of the authorities in the face of bandits who rape and kill members of the population with complete impunity.

PAM : Purchase of 2 tonnes of "farin lam"

The World Food Program (WFP-Haiti) has just made its first purchase of 2 tonnes of "farin lam" flour from the real tree, a product rich in vitamins, which will be distributed in the canteens of 32 schools in Grande Anse. The purchase was made from a supplier supported by ILO (International Labor Organization).

The FBH will not present a PM candidate

The Federation of Haitian Bars (FBH) declines the invitation of the Presidential Council to submit a candidate from the lawyers' corporation for the post of Prime Minister of the transition. In its letter, the FBH states that it considers that the conditions are not met to participate in this process.

Flag Festival Theme
