Escape attempt at Jacmel prison

On the night of March 5 to 6, a mutiny broke out in Jacmel Prison where 700 inmates are incarcerated, who tried to escape. However, prison officers eventually managed to bring the situation under control and no prisoners escaped. The toll was 3 dead and 6 injured among the prisoners.

Delmas : The Peace Court burned down

UN emergency appeal

Spain confirms its support for Haiti

Spanish Foreign Minister José Manuel Albares declared Wednesday that the situation in Haiti "concerns him greatly" and recalled that Spain has already announced financial support to Haiti and as well as its participation in the Multinational Mission to Support the National Police of Haiti in its fight against armed gangs.

France : VISAS services closed until March 11

As a precautionary measure, the visa and French administration services of the French Embassy in Port-au-Prince are closed to the public until Monday March 11, 2024.
