Haiti - Competition : «RFI-AUF 2022 Young Writing Prize», registrations open

The Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie (AUF), Radio France Internationale (RFI) and Short Edition, are organizing the 4th Edition of the "RFI-AUF Young Writing Prize".

The objective of this literary creation competition is to promote the writing and reading of French through short literature, but also to discover new talents and to give writing and literature enthusiasts a chance to reveal themselves to themselves and their audience.

Criteria :

This competition is open to young French speakers from all over the world, aged 18 to 29 and registered in one of the 1,007 AUF member establishments around the world or at the Specialized Establishment of La Francophonie for Administration and Management (ESFAM).

To participate, candidates must submit a fictional story of 8,000 characters maximum (including spaces) which must begin with 3Master? Are you kidding? You can hit me, as all the others have done, but I will not call you master" (Maître ? Vous plaisantez ? Vous pouvez me cogner, comme l’ont fait tous les autres mais je ne vous appellerai pas maître). This is a sentence taken from the novel "Bel Abîme" (Editions Elyzad) by Yamen MANAÏ, Tunisian author and President of the Jury of this 2022 edition.

The winning works will be selected, on the one hand by the vote of the readers and on the other hand by a jury of professionals with a particular attachment to the Francophonie.

Jury members :

Yamen MANAÏ,: Tunisian author and President of the 2022 edition of the RFI-AUF Young Writing Prize;

Pascal PARADOU: Deputy Director of RFI, in charge of Francophonie and presenter of the program "De Vive(s) voix";

Marielle PAYAUD: Chief of Staff of the AUF;

Eldina NASUFI: Member of the Scientific Council of the AUF, Professor of Language and Literature at the University of Tirana (Albania).

Prize :

This year, the winner of the Jury Prize will win an international stay of cultural and literary experiences. The winner of the Public Prize will receive a cultural and literary box.
