Haiti - Digicel : Adjustment of MonCash fees

Haiti - Digicel : Adjustment of MonCash fees

In a note Digiciel announces that MonCash "eliminates withdrawal fees on transactions of less than 250 Gourdes and reduces by more than 30% the withdrawals fees of less than 500 Gourdes."

During the Covid-19 pandemic, fees on account-to-account (P2P) transfers that had been withdrawn will be reinstated, but will remain free for amounts less than 250 Gourdes as well as for all transactions using MonCash QR codes. Face the growing economic challenges, these adjustments were designed to benefit "small purses".

These measures come into force gradually from April 18, 2022. These new prices will be available from agents or can be viewed on the MonCash mobile application.

However, deposits into MonCash users' own accounts remain free and open to as many people as possible by integrating them into the banking circuit.
