Faced with the continuous and rapid increase, considered alarming, in the number of new cases of Covid-19 and its "Alpha" and "Gamma" variants https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-33863-haiti-flash-alarming-situation-in-the-country-towards-the-extension-of-the-state-of-health-emergency.html, on report of the Council of Ministers and the Ministry of Public Health, the state of health emergency on the the entire national territory is renewed for 15 days.

Text of the Order :

Considering the Constitution, in particular its articles 19 and 136;

Considering the Decree of May 20, 2020 setting the general rules for the protection of the population in the event of a pandemic or epidemic;

Considering the Decree of March 15, 2021 revising the Law of April 15, 2010 amending that of September 9, 2008 on the state of emergency;

Considering the Decree of May 22, 2021 declaring a state of health emergency throughout the national territory for a period of eight (8) days;

Considering that the cases of contamination and death linked to the Corona virus (COVID-19) have not decreased during the period of health emergency of eight (8) days declared by the aforementioned Decree;

Considering that it is therefore necessary to renew the state of health emergency for an additional period of fifteen (15) days;

On the report of the Minister of Public Health and Population;

And after deliberation in the Council of Ministers;

ORDERED

Article 1.- The state of health emergency, declared throughout the national territory by the Decree of May 22, 2021, is renewed for a period of fifteen (15) days from the publication of this Decree in the Official Journal "Le Moniteur".

Article 2.- The closing of classes, except those of official exams, is set for June 11, 2021.

The official exam classes are authorized to operate beyond this date in strict compliance with physical distancing and other protective measures against the coronavirus (COVID-19). The Minister of National Education and Vocational Training ensures the strict application of these provisions.

Article 3.- Wearing a mask is compulsory in all places frequented by the population, including public transport.

Article 4.- The installation of hand washing points is compulsory in all public and private buildings.

Article 5.- Temperature taking is compulsory in all private and public institutions, in particular financial institutions, places of worship, schools, universities, hospitals, health centers, offices, and in all boarding and disembarking points of passengers.

Article 6.- A distance of at least 1.50m must be observed between all people not living under the same roof.

Article 7.- Staff working in public and private institutions are reduced to 50% of their normal capacity and home work is encouraged.

Article 8.- The curfew is maintained from 10pm in the until 5am.

Article 9.- This Decree will be published and executed at the behest of the Prime Minister and all the Ministers, each as far as it is concerned.
