Thus, several schools were able to reopen their doors to welcome students, particularly in the Northeast, Northwest and Grand'Anse who had the highest rate of students (between 40 and 70%) .

On the contrary, the most affected departments are the West, Artibonite and Nippes had the lowest rate of pupils (between 5 and 10%).

Student participation rate by department (DDE source) :

North: almost 40%.

Artibonite: 5%.

Nord'Ouest: 45 to 50%.

Center: 35 to 40%.

Northeast: 70 to 80%.

South: 20%

Southeast: 35 to 40%.

Grand'Anse: 50 to 60%

Nippes: about 10%

West: about 5%

North: about 40%

The heads of the Departmental Directorates of Education (DDE), say they are confident about the revival of school activities as this week during which the parents will feel reassured, given the smooth progress of this first day of reprise.

In addition, they also mentioned as one of the causes that could hinder the resumption of school activities, the unavailability of fuel in the regions, which can make it difficult for students to travel with their parents.
