In this perspective, Rodrigo Ubilla, the Undersecretary of the Interior, said that one of the possibilities discussed to achieve the voluntary return of Haitians cheaply, could be the use of one of the presidential apparatus of the state. The plane that would be used would be a Boeing 767-300ER with a capacity of 188 passengers, used by the Palace for President Piñera's international tours.

Similarly, under-secretary Ubilla explained that starting in October, a special register would be open to Haitians wishing to return to their country of origin, with the counterpart the commitment not to return to Chile for 10 years.
