PM resigns, civil society deplores

Civil society organizations including the Haitian Center for Analysis and Research in Human Rights (CARDH), the National Network for the Defense of Human Rights (RNDDH), the Episcopal Commission for Justice and Peace (CE-JILAP), the Ecumenical Center for Human Rights (CEDH), the Center for Research and Economic and Social Training for Development (CRESFED), deplore the decision of Jack Guy Lafontant to come to the session last Saturday when he had already handed his resignation letter to President Jovenel https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-24957-haiti-flash-resignation-of-the-prime-minister-lafontant.html . Textile Training Center

Towards human rights action plan

Thursday Jean Roody Aly, the Minister resigned of justice held a working session with the former Minister of Justice, Me Rene Magloire and the Protector of the Citizen Me Renan Hedouville around the recommendations made to Haiti by the Council of Human Rights at the 38th session of this Council held in Geneva on 3 July 2018. The Minister Aly and Hedouville intend to work for the revitalization of the Inter-Ministerial Committee of Human Rights, with a view to reaching an action plan on human rights with civil society actors and international partners involved in human rights issues.
