NOTICE : Risks of traffic jams at PAP

Leon Ronsard Saint-Cyr, the Secretary of State for Public Safety informs the population that during the 29th Meeting of Heads of State and Government of CARICOM the flow of vehicles could cause traffic jams in the morning (7h-9h am) and in the early evening (5h-7h pm) in the arteries connecting the Marriott Hotel Caribe Hotel, Monday 26 and Tuesday 27 February and urges users of this section to borrow other shortcuts or to take them into account when programming their movements.

Two ambulances for the 29th CARICOM Conference

Two specialized ambulances of the Haitian Red Cross (CRH) are deployed as part of the medical support of the 29th CARICOM Meeting (Monday 26 and Tuesday 27) to respond to any needs for assistance. Launch of the work on the Gonaïves/Terre-Neuve

Construction work on the Gonaïves/Terre-Neuve road has begun. This road will make it easier for people living in communal sections such as Dolan, Bwa Nèf, Lagoon and all other localities in Newfoundland to feel closer to the city of Gonaïves (head of the Artibonite Department).

Senator Étienne honors Wole Soyinka

Saturday at the Haitian National Institute of Public Policy Observatory, in the presence of several authorities of the State and the city of Cap-Haitien, the Senator Dieudonne Luma Étienne handed a plaque of honor and deserves for its invaluable contribution to world literature and the development of black peoples, to the Nigerian writer and activist Wole Soyinka (83), the first African woman to win the Nobel Prize of Literature.

To conclude, inspired by a quote from Soyinka: "The tiger does not proclaim its tigritude... it leaps on its prey and devours it", she invited all the actors present at the event to jump on the multidimensional path of change that leads to development.
