Haiti - ALERT : Baby milk «Celia» withdrawn from the Haitian market

Minister Marie Gréta Roy Clement (Health) and Minister Pierre Marie Du Mény (Trade) "inform the Haitian population that the French authorities have suspended the sale of 'CELIA' baby milk produced by the LACTALIS Nutrition Santé Group (Groupe LNS), due to contamination with salmonella.

Since this milk is imported and sold in Haiti, the Ministries of Health (MSPP) and Trade (MCI) ask the population to do not buy or use CELIA baby milk.

Arrangements are made for the withdrawal of the product on the Haitian market. No trader is allowed to distribute or sell it to avoid health problems and not to fall under the law.

Minister Clement and Minister Du Meny are counting on everyone's understanding for the strict application of this measure."

Haiti joins the list of 83 countries concerned where some 12 million boxes of baby milk contaminated with salmonella will be withdrawn from the sale. Recall that these products have contaminated 37 babies in France who after the care of use are all out of danger.
