Haiti - FLASH : Pope Francis talks with students in Haiti

On Friday, as part of the "Scholas" program initiated by Pope Francis, the sovereign pontiff spoke by teleconference with students from several countries including Haiti.

Education, religious values and new technologies were at the center of exchanges between Pope Francis and students across the American continent. He stressed in particular the question of globalization, which makes the world become a small village today, especially with the development of Technologies.

In Haiti, students from the Zorange National School and the Daniel Fignole High School participated in this Teleconference from the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) office in Port-au-Prince. During the exchanges, a pupil of the Nouvelle Zoranje school who participated in the 2016 edition said that through "Scholas", he saw the development of a 6th sense among the participants.

Ms. Charlotte B. Cadet, a Cabinet member of the Minister of Education, represented the Minister for the occasion.

This activity, in which young schoolchildren from various countries are questioning in this interactive interactive television exercise, intends, according to the sovereign pontiff, "to develop a culture of encounter based on social and religious education," emphasizing "the importance of these exchanges among young students from a variety of backgrounds," an intervention strongly applauded by the participants.
