Haiti - USA : End of mission, but US aid continues
As transportation conditions improve in the hurricane-ravaged areas of Haiti and a robust, integrated humanitarian response is underway, the United States is adapting its assistance efforts in support of the Government of Haiti's post-hurricane recovery strategy.
The military's unique capacity to deliver life-saving supplies quickly in the early stages of response is now being filled by civilian capacity from both Haiti and the international community. The significant U.S. assistance effort continues unabated, however, working with the Government of Haiti and through our partners in all areas affected by the hurricane.
