In a note, Me Camille Junior Edouard, the Minister of Justice and Public Security "condemns with the utmost firmness the attack, of armed men perpetrated against Me Joseph René Misère [...]" the Minister that reiterates the commitment of his ministry to accompany the security forces in order to restore a secure environment throughout the country "call the police to take all measures to identify and capture the killers of Me Misère so they can answer for their acts before justice."

"The Minister Camille Junior Edouard, n his own name and on behalf of the Ministry presents its sympathies to the family of Me Joseph René Misère and to all the bereaved sector by the abrupt departure of the former member of the Bar of Port-au -Prince. That his soul rests in peace."

For its part, in a statement, the Council of the Order of Advocates of Port-au-Prince said it was appalled by the death of one of its members "The Peace Court of Carrefour, the prosecutor at the Court of First instance of Port au Prince and the Central Directorate of the judicial Police must act expeditiously to apprehend the perpetrators of this assassination and bring them to justice."
