Haiti - Politic : The occupation of the Rectorate in UEH continues

In a note, the "Comité de Loisir et d'Entraide" (CLE) of the Rectorate of the State University of Haiti (UEH) that shares certain claims of the Union of Administrative Staff, including wage increases and better working conditions "condemns the outbreak of a few individuals, students and other unknown in the premises of the Rectorate on February 5 that forced the staff to leave the place and abandon their belongings on site and vehicles" https://www.icihaiti.com/en/news-16596-icihaiti-politic-occupation-and-violence-to-ueh.html Since then, the central administration of the UEH is paralyzed.

"Students, faculty, staff and executives of the UEH are deprived of essential services, such as, inter alia : the issuance of certificates to employees and their families in need of health care under the insurance coverage of the civil service; the distribution of salary checks to many employees who had not removed them, the accompaniment of the students in their efforts to pursue their studies abroad, etc...

The community of UEH comprising over 30,000 members, the CLE wondered how to explain that a minority of individuals can take hostage the vast majority so easily ?"
