A high-level meeting between President Michel Martelly and Dominican President Danilo Medina is to be held this Tuesday morning at Maria Montez airport in Barahona, to discuss in particular the road transport ban imposed by Haiti on 23 products from of the Dominican Republic.

According to Roberto Rodriguez Marchena the Dominican government spokesperson who welcomed the rapprochement between the two leaders "This meeting takes place at the request of the Haitian government."

Everything is ready at the airport Maria Montez for the meeting between the two presidents and that morning at 10:00 am, a heavy security had been put in place.

The President Martelly should be accompanied among others by : Lener Renauld, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Wilson Laleau, Minister of Economy and Finance, Jude Hervé Day, Minister of Trade and Industry, Zéphirin Ardouin, Minister of the Interior, Mario Dupuis. Minister of Communication and Michel Chancy, Secretary of State for Animal Production and officials of the Embassy of Haiti in the Dominican Republic.

President Danilo Medina will be accompanied among others by Foreign Minister, Andrés Navarro, of the ministers of the Presidency, Gustavo Montalvo; Administrative Jose Ramon Peralta; Industry and Commerce, José del Castillo Saviñón; Interior and police, Jose Ramon Fadul and the Director of Customs Fernando Fernandez.

A joint press conference is scheduled at the end of this meeting.

Last minute, both President arrived with their delegations.
