Orlando Lafleur a gang leader wanted for actively robberies, car thefts and kidnappings recorded at Clercin, was arrested last Thursday, announced Friday, October 15, 2010, the Commissioner of Police in Delmas, Carl-Henri Boucher.

This is undoubtedly the dismantling of the largest network specializing in robbery and vehicle theft. The network had been dismantled in February 2009 following a major operation conducted by police in Delmas. After the earthquake that has seen the spectacular escape from the civil prison of Port-au-Prince, several band members found themselves on the run. Police had noted for some time a significant increase in theft of vehicles, especially newer models, for police, there was no doubt that this network was again active.

According to information gathered by police, Orlando Lafleur was also the principal leader of the gang dismantled in mid-February, during a raid at a residence in Clercin 11, where a hostage had been freed. Recidivist king's of escape to the many identities, Orlando Lafleur aka "toto", aka ilson Parra Lois alias, aka Wilson Parra Lois etc... was arrested in a crackdown following a car theft. Upon his arrest Lafleur Orlando had in his possession several pieces of identification, plates of stolen vehicles obtained in the Dominican Republic and electoral campaign material, ... According to preliminary information obtained from an anonymous police source, Orlando Lafleur would not only be the brain of a network of criminals but would play a role as yet undetermined, in the election of certain candidates. No further details on this subject could not be obtained, an investigation is underway.
