Haiti - Politic : The President Martelly is promoting Haiti in Mexico
Thursday, as part of the 10th World Economic Forum on Latin America, which takes place at the Hotel Quintana Roo on 7 and 8 April 2015 in Mexico, the President Martelly, accompanied by Wilson Laleau, Minister of Economy and Finance and Jude Herve Day, Minister of Trade and Industry, took the opportunity to present the many business opportunities offered today by Haiit and promote investments.
Speaking in a panel composed among others of Presidents Enrique Pena Nieto (Mexico), Juan Carlos Varela Rodriguez (Panama) and of Klaus Schwab, Executive Director of the World Economic Forum, the Head of State of Haiti declared "Contrary to some misinformation that reached you, I come reassure you that Haiti is one of the best destinations for entrepreneurs. We are one of the more secure countries of the region and we have put in place mechanisms that facilitate and encourage investment. It is for all these reasons that I invite you to invest your money with us. I guarantee that you will be satisfied. "
On the sidelines of his interventions in the Forum, the President Martelly had several bilateral meetings including with Enrique Jacob Rocha, President of the National Institute of Entrepreneurs of Mexico (INADEM) and Ms. Rocio Abud, the Director General of small business of this institution. With these two officials of the INADEM, the Head of State discussed the opportunities to innovate and invest in Haiti. In this perspective, a Mexican Mission will stay in Haiti in July.
