Port of Petit-Goâve :

Fulfilling the wishes of users, the General Directorate of National Port Authority (APN) took the initiative to build a ramp Roll-On/Roll-Off (RO-RO) in addition to the new dock whose the Port of Petit-Goâve is newly equipped.

Economic Construction Maritime S.A (eccomar sa), a local firm established in Haiti for 40 years, already selected for the work of the dock, was also chosen for this new construction.

This ramp is now 90% completed, the Port of Petit-Goâve is now in a position to receive RoRo vessels (specializing in transport vehicles), which can, without difficulty, land their cargo.

In addition, the offices of the APN, of Customs and the Maritime and Navigation Service of Haiti (SEMANAH), have been renovated and are now ready to welcome both staff of these entities that clients who benefit from the services offered "Suffice to say that the port of Petit Goâve is almost ready to resume operations," stressed the Directorate of APN.

Construction of the North Quay International Port of Port-au-Prince :

The reconstruction of the Quai North (450 m long) of the Public facilities at the International Port of Port-au-Prince progressing at a satisfactory pace. To date, were beaten 118 piles 42" and 4 of 36" diameter, with a total of 122 piles. The vibro-compaction has been practiced at 1,440 columns.

Regarding the reinforcement of pre-slabs, the company achieved the assembly of 199 cages while 75 meters from the dock collapsed had already been demolished.
