Thursday during a press conference at the Ministry of Justice, Me Lucmane Delille, the Government Commissioner presented together with Godson Aurélus, the Director General of the National Police of Haiti, a positive balance, of the joint operations against the crime and corruption during his first 6 months at the head of the Prosecutor of Port-au-Prince.

"In the context of the fight against insecurity in the metropolitan area, we are more than ever determined to fight the people who terrorize the citizens," indicated Me Lucmane Délille, announcing that since his appointment more than 314 people were arrested in the metropolitan area, and several for different reasons and several networks and gangs, who sowed fear in the population, were dismantled and today no longer represent a threat for the population.

Godson Aurélus stated "There is hope in the battle that we are waging to end the phenomenon of insecurity in the country, especially in the capital," claiming the end of the "investigation continues" in these cases, reiterating the commitment of the PNH in the treatment of several issues linked among other to cases of homicide. Stressing also the great strides made ​​in the fight against kidnapping in various parts of the capital, Godson Aurélus reiterated its call for the cooperation of the population with the National Police, to prevent criminals from continuing their activities and allow all and everyone to go about their business safely.
