Haiti - Social : 200 undocumented Haitians arrested by the Dominicans authorities
The Dominicans services of immigration, assisted by police officers and members of the armed forces have conducted last week a vast operation in which were arrested more than 200 Haitians who were in an irregular situation in the province of Puerta Plata (north coast) in the sectors of Playa Oeste, Javillar, Padre Granero, Padre Las Casas et Cristo Rey among others. Our compatriots were transported to Dajabón, before being repatriated to Haiti in several buses.
The information was confirmed by Kenya Serrata, the Deputy Director of Immigration in Puerto Plata and Rafael Garcia, in charge of Haitian affairs of this office, who stated that these operations would continue.
