The Haitian airline Sunrise Airways, continuing its expansion of its regional network, launched two new routes between Cap-Haïtien and the Dominican Republic on June 26, 2026.

"Rhe launch of flights connecting Cap-Haïtien to Punta Cana and Santiago represents another important step in the expansion of our regional network. These new routes strengthen connectivity between Haiti, the Dominican Republic, and the wider Caribbean, while providing travelers with more convenient access to regional and international destinations,” said Sébastien Bayard, Deputy CEO of Sunrise Airways.

Furthermore, the Cap-Haitien/Punta Cana route represents a strategic transit opportunity to other international destinations.

To Santiago de los Caballeros (STI) : Direct flights operate primarily on Mondays and Fridays. Approximate flight times Departures from Cap-Haïtien are generally in the early afternoon, with a very short flight time of approximately 30 to 45 minutes to cross the border.

To Punta Cana (PUJ) : Direct flights operate on Mondays and Wednesdays. Approximate flight times : Departures from Cap-Haitien are scheduled around 12:00 PM for an arrival in Punta Cana around 1:00 PM. Return flights depart at 2:00 PM.
