Part of the Croix Périsse (Haiti) road has been reopened

The Haitian National Police (PNH) reports that a security operation has cleared a section of the Croix Périsse road and reinforced security measures in and around the Carrefour Marchand area.

As part of this operation, several specialized units used PNH armored vehicles to conduct continuous patrols and surveillance operations to strengthen control of the area and prevent the movement of armed groups.

Furthermore, law enforcement officers have retaken the Rigaud area, heading towards the area known as "Point Rouge" a strategic location where armed individuals have been known to operate. Officers from the specialized units have returned to the checkpoints in Carrefour Marchand after securing the perimeter.

Several barricades that had been blocking the road in front of the area known as "Kokorat San Ras Yo" erected between the night of May 22 and 23, 2026, in the Carrefour Marchand area and its surroundings, have been completely removed. So far, two barricades located on the Croix Périsse road have already been taken down.

Law enforcement remains mobilized and will continue the operation, particularly to remove the large barricades made of tree trunks and to consolidate security in these areas.
