CPT Denial

The Presidential Transitional Council (CPT) formally denies the allegations made by Pierre Espérance, Executive Director of the National Network for the Defense of Human Rights (RNDDH), that the Council members are proposing to award themselves substantial severance packages of $500,000 to $600,000. The CPT reiterates that its mission remains exclusively focused on the responsible conduct of the political transition and the transparent management of public resources. The CPT urges the public and the media to remain vigilant against disinformation campaigns.

Foiled Attack on Tabarre Market (Video)

The Haitian National Police (PNH) reports that on the night of December 25-26, 2025, an attack targeting the Tabarre market and its destruction was thwarted by security personnel assigned to the market. They discovered explosives (made from gas cylinders) hidden inside the market, which terrorists had planted with the intention of starting a fire and reducing the market to ashes, causing casualties among the vendors and customers, who are numerous during this holiday season. Initial findings indicate that the terrorists had carefully planned their operation.

Legal Migration : A Potential for the Destination Country

Minister Georges Wilbert Franck, Minister of Social Affairs and Labor, affirms that migration carried out according to regulations represents a significant potential for the countries of origin, transit, and destination. In order to combat all forms of abuse suffered by migrants, particularly during irregular migration, he calls upon States worldwide to :

- Protect the fundamental rights of all migrant workers, regardless of their administrative status;

- Promote access to decent work, social security, and dignified working conditions;

- Strengthen the social and economic integration of migrants within communities;

- Raise awareness among citizens of the value and dignity of every person, without discrimination.
