Haiti - Technology : 71 IT Analysts Graduate

On Sunday, November 9, 2025, in Port-au-Prince, a graduation ceremony was held for 71 analysts after six months of intensive training. This inaugural program, conducted by Akademi in partnership with Quisqueya University and with financial support from the Ministry of Economy and Finance and the Bank of the Republic of Haiti (BRH), demonstrates the vitality of Haiti's potential in the technology sector.

Akademi's Capstone Haiti 2025 Expo marks the culmination of six-month intensive training programs (bootcamp programs). This year's cohort began with 100 students, 71 of whom successfully completed the program.

Throughout the program, students followed a rigorous curriculum guided by experienced industry instructors, guest speakers, and institutional partners. The Capstone phase challenged learners to design original projects, source their own datasets, create software and machine learning solutions, and synthesize their findings through professional-level presentations.

Akademi’s Haiti Bootcamp Program offers advanced technical training designed to nurture talent in emerging fields critical to the country’s digital economy:

DATA SCIENCE & AI :

Students are trained in statistical modeling, data wrangling, machine learning, and visualization, applying their skills to real-world socio-economic, environmental, and business challenges.

SOFTWARE ENGINEERING :

Students built full-stack applications using modern development frameworks, version control practices, and software architecture principles.

CYBERSECURITY :

Learners engaged in network security, threat modeling, system hardening, and incident simulation exercises.

The program design blends international best practices with local relevance, ensuring graduates are industry-ready and positioned to make a significant contribution to Haiti’s digital future.
