Haiti - Politic : Chancellery improves staff well-being

On Monday, September 1st, 2025, Jean-Victor Harvel Jean-Baptiste, Minister of Foreign Affairs, inaugurated a first aid infirmary at the Chancellery headquarters, which will be made available to staff. This facility, staffed by three nurses and a psychologist, will provide basic medical services to ensure better health care for Ministry employees.

This initiative is part of a comprehensive vision to improve working conditions and staff well-being. Furthermore, a modern cafeteria will soon open as part of this same initiative.

The Minister also mentioned the permanent appointment of nearly 300 contract staff in central services, including 28 new diplomats who graduated from the Jean Price-Mars Academy, as well as the promotion of 60 civil servants to external services. He also reaffirmed that no salary arrears are owed, either in central services or in missions abroad.
