In a note, the Visa Application Center for Brazil (BVAC) operated by the International Organization for Migration (IOM) informs of the resumption of appointments for the family reunification visa (VITEM 11) from January 9, 2025.

The platform will be open every week and will allow approximately 400 appointments to be assigned per week

It will be necessary to submit a notarized copy of the visa of the person residing in Brazil as an additional document.

If the person in Brazil migrated with a family reunification visa, he or she will not be able to submit a new application.

However, those who arrived with other types of VITEM can submit their application.
