Haiti - PAPEJ : Youth Entrepreneurship Support Program, applications open

The Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MCI) informs the general population and young entrepreneurs in particular that the Youth Entrepreneurship Support Program (PAPEJ) is receiving new business plans in order to complete the next cohort of companies that will be submitted to its financial partners.

Eligibility criteria :

- Innovative idea;

- Job creation potential;

- Strong motivations of project leaders and business owners;

- Maximum age of potential beneficiaries less than 40 years;

- Priority to general partnership companies;

- Link of the product(s) developed with the typical products of the municipality concerned;

- Amount of investment need between 50,000 HTG (fifty thousand Gourdes) and not exceeding 2,000,000 HTG (two million Gourdes);

- The turnover of the companies to be strengthened must represent at least a quarter (¼) of the amount requested;

- Priority to companies engaged in activities with positive impacts on the environment;

The interest rate of the program varies between 3 and 5% over a repayment period of less than 10 years.

A grace period of 6 to 12 months is granted to any project leader benefiting from funding from the program.

In addition, young people are invited to follow the publications on the MCI and PAPEJ social networks in order to stay informed of the progress of the Program.

The Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MCI) renews its commitment to supporting young entrepreneurs and working for the benefit of the much-desired economic recovery.
